Montecatini Terme offers not only a relaxing and wellness stay in green surroundings, but also cultural events and art exhibitions in order to entertain its guests in various ways.

You can enjoy music festivals focused on opera, variety shows or take part in literary presentations, all in an architectural context that melts with nature, making you feel as if you were in another era, in the golden age of the spa town.

Montecatini Opera Academy (M.O.A)

Every year the Parnaso Cultural Association, in collaboration with the municipality of Montecatini Terme, organises an international Opera Academy during which young singers, from all over the world, can show their vocal abilities. A festival for shaping the voices of the future.

Estate Regina

Estate Regina international music festival was founded by the musicians of “Maggio Musicale Fiorentino”. It is formulated in two sections: firstly a classical music concert, and secondly “Oci Ciornie”, which is an international festival about Russian culture.

It takes place in the Tettuccio thermal baths and Excelsior thermal baths of Montecatini Terme, usually during the summer season.

New Teatro Verdi

The first performance at this theatre, in 1930, was “Aida”, the opera by Giuseppe Verdi, who was of course a famous visitor to Montecatini Terme.  Over the years it has hosted many opera exhibitions, variety shows, conferences and important events. Nowadays there's a huge offer of shows featuring famous artists.

Biblioterme

Biblioterme is a cultural event about writing compositions, presented by their authors.

It takes place inside the Tettuccio thermal baths, from July to October. The public presentations are held inside the thermal baths’ historical café.

Mo.Ca Civic Gallery

Mo.Ca museum ( Montecatini Contemporary Art ) is the main civic museum located inside the town hall building, in the former post office area . It houses many works of art, such as paintings by Mirò and Annigoni, a sculpture by the swiss artist Claraz and others.

Montecatini Slow Food

The municipality of Montecatini Terme and the “Slow food Italia” Association signed a memorandum of understanding in order to promote and enhance the territory and its enogastronomic heritage. In the past, Montecatini Terme hosted many events focused on food and wine tastings, with various expert cooks and sommeliers.
