City of Bath

Jane Austen, whose novels describe life in Georgian England writes “Oh! Who can ever be tired of Bath?” in Northanger Abbey. It's a good question for this bustling centre with its rich cultural life, which is also the setting for much of the hugely popular Netflilx drama series, Bridgerton.  The City of Bath is a World Heritage Site, twice over, and is famed for its Roman remains as well as the Georgian architecture dating from the 18th century - the terraces, crescents and the Circus.  Soak up the architectural splendour of Bath in the Pump Room, overlooking the Roman Baths, before enjoying a dip in the thermal waters at Thermal Bath Spa, which skillfully blends modern design with historic buildings.  The  rooftop pool is especially beautiful at dusk, watching the sun set over the surrounding hills.
