Horse riding, cycling and family fun in surrounding countryside
The region is proud to be the venue of the International Horse carriage driving competition CAI every summer. The organizer is a local Kladruby horse breeding Station in Nebanice. The Kladruber horse is the oldest Czech breed. This ceremonial, carriage driving horse breed and its original Imperial breeding station in Kladruby nad Labem has been inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. If horse riding is not your thing, the surrounding area of Františkovy Lázně offers a myriad of cycling paths and trails. The part of Euro-Velo 13 known as Iron Curtain Greenway cycling path from Norway to Black Sea runs nearby.
