During the weeks before the INTERSPACE workshops in Baden bei Wien, young people from pairs of towns met together online with facilitators Socionaut. Using their phones to scan QR codes, they were able to take part in special surveys which examined their understanding of their World Heritage, how they feel about their own towns and introduced them to each other in a fun way.

After the first international exchange in Baden bei Wien, INTERSPACE continued with online workshops throughout the year.

Youth representatives met online to finalise the co-design of the Youth Forum. Building on the earlier suggestions, a facilitator presented a draft structure, which the youth then provided feedback to — agreeing on basic rules, roles and principles.

This pre-empted the final workshop, held in Mariánské Lázně in May 2025, where the prototype of the Youth Forum turned into a pilot.
